In Sweeney's project 'Flat tyre, Full tyre', Sweeney merges performance, marquetry and found objects to create a video installation inside a punctured tyre. The piece references traditional wooden car wheels, translated into creatures walking the inner tyre circle to represent the movement of a kinetic car tyre.

The video piece incorporates themes of mimicry, drag, drag racing and cars. The central screen plays a dancing performance of two people dressed as flat tyres, being inflated through the repetition of forward rolls.

The project contemplated everyday object waste, the imagined thoughts and feelings of a flat tyre and the circulation of human experience and emotion. The flat tyre is used to question play in contemporary urban objects alongside marquetry to reference the repetition of past human experience.
